Boyfriend's Ex

I'm not one of the girls who worries about my boyfriend's ex girlfriends. The only concern i have is that i need to know how pretty she is (which is probably everybody). An ex can cause problems even is she's no longer in the picture. If your boyfriend is still in touch with his ex, she will be more of a presence in your lives. Well, we all have to understand that not all relationships end on bad terms and some previous relationships may result in a really good friendship.

My advice is that, keep that in my that she is just an ex for a reason. It ended and she's not coming back (unless she's a big nasty slut), which then gives you the reason for you to go all psychotic on her. Talking to your boyfriend about how you feel is the best option but you need to be careful in how you go about it.

Most importantly, you have to talk to your boyfriend about the ex. Be honest about how it bothers you that he is still in touch with his ex. Find out the reason why they broke up. Do it calmly, without getting angry and emotional or accusing him of anything. Being a little insecure is normal about this. It is also quite normal to wonder whether she is prettier, funnier and more interesting than you.

Basically, the key to a happy relationship is trust. Trust him until you have a genuine reason to doubt him. If you really can't trust him with his ex and you don't know why, most probably, this is not the right relationship for you.
